SACDECO HOLDS WALK FOR A CAUSE AND SAYAWIT CONTEST

Many of us are more capable than some of us… but none of us is as capable as all of us…

This is Santa Cruz Savings and Development Cooperative A cooperative which has been in the 25th years of rendering quality service. We never attain the pinnacle of fame without the overwhelming support and cooperation of the members, dedicated and trusted officers, management and staff and most of all, the guidance of our Almighty GOD. SACDECO, a catalyst for economic growth especially in alleviating the needs of people from different sector of the  society.

The celebration of the Silver anniversary of SACDECO last December 20-21, 2009 is another milestone in the life of SACDECO. Once again, it was proven that our cooperative is not just a simple cooperative easily ruined by those people who are against the principle of cooperativism, but a cooperative that can withstand the trials and tribulations along its way toward the fulfillment its mission.

SACDECO 25th celebration is a tribute to the ever supportive members patronizing our products and services. On the morning of December 21, 2009, the celebration started by a “walk for a cause” participated by the officers, management and staff, KATALEKS and members from seven offices. The route was from SACDECO Main Office to the SACDECO warehouse (feed mill) .Participants from the said activity had their own way of expressing gratitude to SACDECO. “Gapu ti SACDECO napaadal ko ti Anakko, Gapu ti SACDECO Nasapulak ti Dayag ko, Agyamanak SACDECO ta nakagatangak lugan ko”,were some of the inscriptions written by the participants as a way of expressing thanks to the priceless services rendered by our cooperative.

After the “Walk for a Cause”, a communal service was held to glorify God for all the countless blessings and guidance we received. Our reverent pastors facilitated this event. Their preaches were invigorating that touches everyone’s heart.

The activities in the morning is incomplete without the “Sayawit Contest” This was   the highlights of the morning events. From the word itself, “Sayawit” (song and dance) is a theatrical performance that combines singing and dancing.

Mr. Alexander B. Raquepo, the Vice chair of the Board formally opened the contest by recognizing the participants and members from different branches. Honorable Jose R. Ping-ay, Chairperson of the Board and COOP NATCCO party list representative also delivered his   inspiring message. He expressed his warm greetings and endless thanks for the overwhelming support of our members. On his speech, he saluted the 25 pioneers of our cooperative. He said, without them, who sown the seed of cooperativism, we could never gone this far. We owe them for their invaluable contribution. Now, we are reaping the fruit of their sacrifices. So let us treasure SACDECO by continuously patronizing the product and services.

Deafening roar of crowd broke the monotony of the morning when the emcee presented the participants. This was participated by six groups from different offices namely Pidpid, Babayoan,Lalong group and Kataleks group for Head Office, Bacnotan group, Bangar group, Santiago group, and Santa group. Each group had their own strategy and style of singing and dancing to win the said contest. But when the Pidpid, Babayoan Lalong group performed, the crowd was in outstanding ovation for their distinctive performance which made them garnered the first place followed by Santa and Head Office group respectively. The winner was chosen to perform on the coronation nights for Dayag ti Kooperatiba. Prices for the said event were awarded during on the said night.

To the pioneers…, thank you for lighting the flame for us…!!!

To the members…May the ember of cooperativsm burns forever in your heart...!!!!

CHEERS TO 25 YEARS Print E-mail

CHEERS TO 25 YEARS!!!

Of my more than 3 years of serving SACDECO, I often ask these questions: What do I intend to accomplish? How do I go about in accomplishing my goals?

Through the years, I have realized that the development of good work habits is not enough to achieve goals, but the desire to contribute more to the cooperative by providing outstanding services to its members, play a major role in creating a highly successful organization. Being highly successful, meaning, employees are productive and the clientele, satisfied.

The celebration of SACDECO’s 25th anniversary that lasted for 3 days,   (December 18 – 20 2009) opened our eyes and hearts that we are in a system of unending service and commitment.  The anniversary was not only filled with fun and enjoyment, but also focused on a good cause.  Programs like the CBU (Capital-Built-Up) and Savings Mobilization were highlighted.

The SACDECO Fiesta did not only promote socialization among members and employees, but it paved the way for a good working relationship in the future. It was, indeed, a huge success because members were motivated to add on their share capital and deposits and pay their loans with corresponding incentives.

To the officers and staff for their immeasurable works and services, a high salute to all of you, for making this 25th anniversary successful! Without your excellent minds, SACDECO would not be celebrating year after year of victory.  Because of your dedication and passion, our cooperative operates towards a progressive organization that fosters good partnership with our members. Cheers!

SANTIAGO MEDICAL MISSION Print E-mail

SACDECO-SANTIAGO BRANCH MEDICAL & DENTAL MISSION

December 11, 2009

Held at Rural Health Unit

Pob. Norte, Santiago

Ilocos Sur

Our mission was sponsored by Coop-Natcco Partylist in cooperation with the Department of Health.

It was indeed one of the most memorable days for all cooperators. The said event was one of the lined-up community services of our cooperative. Its objective is to extend service to the members including member of the family.

Boxes of medicines were hurriedly carried to the vehicle waiting outside our office to be delivered at Santiago Rural Health Unit (RHU). The branch employees ran back and forth to get everything ready for the mission.

As expected, a crowd of people eagerly awaited at the mission site. Streamers were hanging, chairs and tables were properly arranged.

Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. Followed by a prayer and the mission began.

The line of people never seemed to end. Young and old patiently waited for their turn, either to have a tooth pulled or find relief for an illness. Then they lined up at the pharmacy for their medicines. It was not only a medical or dental mission, but it was also a way to promote social services through developing harmonious relations, unity and cooperation among members of SACDECO.

This whole day mission took in fact a whole month to prepare and organize. Follow up calls, driving back and forth visiting the site once in awhile, meeting with the industrious people who coordinated for us and the daily distribution of notices to members.

It would be impossible to talk about the heroes of medical volunteer work without giving credit to the doctors, nurses and to all who volunteered and who devoted their time, hard work, patient and expertise for the benefit of all members. Our heartfelt thanks go to those whose work has contributed to the success of our mission. We did not mention everybody’s names, but the Lord knows you. May our Lord bless you!

SACEDCO- 25TH ANNIVERSARY MEDICAL MISSION

December 20, 2010

One of our objectives is to extend the institution’s core value of SERVICE to the all our members and to the less fortunate of our adopted community.

During our 25th anniversary, one of our program was “Free Medical and Dental Mission” held at SACDECO feedmill- Sidaoen, Sta Cruz, Ilocos Sur.

This half-day mission took one (1) day to serve all who are willing to cure their illness. It took in fact a whole month to prepare and organize. A whole month to inform all members, to inform volunteer doctors, dentist, therapist, ophthalmologist and nurses, to plan for the success of our operation and most especially to ask help from Department of Health through free medicines. The activity was sponsored by Coop-Natcco Partylist in cooperation with the Department of Health.

Boxes and boxes of medicines, of relief goods from coop-party list and snack for the volunteers were carried to the vehicles.

All employees and officers hurriedly ran back and forth to get everything ready for the mission. It practically meant moving the whole clinic to SACDECO feed mill, there to hold a free medical and dental mission.

As expected, a crowd of people eagerly awaited at the mission site. Tents were installed and the street was guarded by brgy.tanod to maintain peace and order in the place.

The line of people never seemed to end. At 8:00 a.m., the registration started and all patients were assisted by ever supportive and industrious employees of SACDECO. Young and old patiently waited for their turn, either to have a tooth pulled, have a therapy or find relief for an illness. Then they lined up at the pharmacy for their free medicine.

It was a successful mission and we thank all the medical doctors and dentist who gave their time to help in this endeavor to help the less fortunate and members. Also noteworthy of our gratitude to all volunteer helpers, who work continuously in the afternoon. Some assisted at the dental area, others at the medical, but the most tiring task was that at the pharmacy, looking for the medicines in the multitude boxes. And the word could have not been made easier without the help of a pharmacist who volunteered to help us. We thank all those who helped in whichever way.
